Villa Talitha by DVH Luxe, 2BR Tropical Pool Villa

Extremely comfortable, spacious, modern and cozy. Positive: Everything is very comfortable, pleasant, and cozy. The place is extremely clean. The pool is spotless and very relaxing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. All the materials used are of high quality. The kitchen is well-equipped, with plenty of high-quality plates, glasses, and utensils provided. Villa is beautiful. Negative: The shower drains in the bathrooms fill up very quickly, which makes showering difficult and uncomfortable. The sunbeds in the garden are too large for the size of the garden area; we bumped our legs several times. The street entrance is uneven and extremely dark at night, unlike many places in Bali. Customer service should be improved.

“A lovely and comfortable villa that could be even better with a few small improvements. Positive: The villa is absolutely excellent in terms of freshness and cleanliness. The pool is spotless and very enjoyable to swim in. The decoration is wonderful. There are enough pool towels. The kitchen island is beautiful. The air conditioners work perfectly. The wardrobes are spacious and sufficient. In terms of comfort, everything is great as well — the bed, the sofa, the workspace, and the pool are all very comfortable. Although the location is a bit far from Canggu center, it’s very close to the main street, where you can find cafés, Circle K, and mini marts. You can easily reach the center using Grab or Gojek. And if you're renting a scooter, you’ll have no issues at all. It was very easy for us since we had a scooter. People who live or stay in Bali long-term know that insects can sometimes be a problem, but in this villa the issue was almost nonexistent. The large mirrors in the house were very relaxing. The kitchen equipment was sufficient and of good quality. Negative: We also need to talk about the downsides so that improvements can be made and future guests can receive better service. Although the villa management checked in with us during the first days to ask if everything was fine, I received negative responses to a couple of my requests. First, there is an issue with the shower drains — they clog very quickly. Even after just one minute of showering, the shower area turns into a small pool. There was very little toilet paper provided, and we had to purchase more ourselves. In addition, be aware that a cleaning fee will be added to the amount you pay. Although we did not receive any professional cleaning service during our stay, an additional 500,000 IDR cleaning fee was charged. We were told that there would be no cleaning during the first 5 days of our stay. The fee was supposedly for check-in and check-out cleaning, but if no cleaning is offered during the stay, a one-time cleaning should be included in the price. We were quite surprised, as in the dozens of villas I’ve stayed in Bali, regular cleaning was always provided and there was no such extra fee. On the day this issue was raised, they did clean the villa. The cleaners were lovely and did their best, but it definitely wasn’t what I would call professional cleaning. Since when is a dustpan and broom considered professional cleaning? :) The sunbeds, although very stylish, take up nearly half of the garden space, so you easily bump into them while walking. They should be replaced with more practical, functional, and space-saving sunbeds. They look good, but they’re not ideal for this villa. The street leading to the villa is extremely dark and the road is not yet finished. It doesn’t prevent you from walking or using a scooter, and the area in front of the villa is well-lit, but it’s quite dark until you reach the entrance. Even though Bali is very safe, there should at least be some lighting at the beginning of the street.
